The watch is exactly like the picture but in person, what stands out more, is the white part of the case. The description says the case is 40 mm wide, and it really is but the white part around the numbers, where the “baby-g” sign is, is 33mm in diameter and the other 7mm is the metal part and is almost unnoticeable. This makes the watch look smaller than it really is. Also, I’m really glad I chose the watch with the pink dial because I think the white one would have looked a little boring. This one looks really classy, feminine and tough at the same time. The band is lighter than I expected but now I know it’s a good thing because I can barely feel it. I’ve been wearing it for some days now and I have had no problems with cleanness. Maybe because I wash and bath with it. Also, it’s true that sometimes I cannot see the small digital circles inside.I have to move my wrist to find the best light to see. I don’t really care because it’s a beautiful fancy watch.

A pity we had to send this back. It is a great looking watch face. The size is not as large as some Baby-G’s (like the one my wife wore out previously and loves) which is a good thing. The problem we had was the chain strap. We were expecting an all-metal chain. The actual chain alternates between white-plastic and metal, not our cup of tea. I can see this now in the picture. The alternating chain material is much more apparent/contrasting on the actual item. We’ll have to find another Baby G!

I really wanted to like this watch! - gadgetgirl -
I thought this was going to have everything I wanted in a watch. It’s stylish, functional and seems well-made. The biggest draw for me was the 5 daily alarms. Baby-G is the only line I can find that offers a good-looking women’s watch with more than 3 alarms. When I received the watch, I was disappointed to see that the watchband is actually silver and white, and the face is also white, while both appear silver in the photo, unless you’re looking closely. I’m afraid the white would get dirty really quickly, and I don’t know if it would be easy to replace the band in the future. The band was also too big; I’m guessing I would have had to take it to a jeweler to remove the links (although, according to a review on a different color, you can do it yourself, but not easily). I might have been able to deal with that because of the cool features, but the gray on silver readout on the 3 digital subdials are impossible for me to read. I never even played with the alarms and other features, because I knew I wasn’t keeping the watch, so I can’t speak for its functionality. It’s too bad; I thought I had found the perfect watch. It looks like the only one of the 3 colors offered in this line that is easier to read is the pink and black style. I guess the one quality that was missing for me was a little practicality.

Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

Automatic Watches

Automatic watches donot operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.

Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They’re considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

Invicta Men’s 9937OB Pro Diver Collection Coin-Edge Swiss Automatic Watch CustomerReview

I just received this watch a couple of days ago. It’s looks sharp and the case has some heft. The bracelet, clasp, and bezel on the other hand feel cheap. Other reviewers mentioned that the 9937 has an upgraded bracelet, if this thing is upgraded, I’d hate to see the lesser models. Though I must mention that the bracelet is not uncomfortable to wear.

The clasp and bezel is the true disappointment of this 0+ dollar watch. Now mind you I didn’t have any expectations that the Invicta would function or feel anywhere close to my TAG. The metal of the clasp feels absolutely cheap in weight and in function. If you do not have fingernails, you are not getting the safety clasp unhinged without subjecting yourself to a degree of pain. I’ve had better clasps on dollar Timex watches. Both the safety clasp and and the clasp itself are very stiff, and hopefully loosen up with time. The same cheap, firm feel applies to the rotating bezel.

I have not seen the 8926 () but I do own a 6023, which goes for -90, and it has the almost the same bracelet/clasp and flame fusion crystal as the 9937. Given that, I’m led to believe the only material difference between the 8926 and the 9937 is the crystal and the movement. Is that worth the price difference?

Good watch, but uncomfortable to wear. - Zoran -
This is an ok watch and for the price you get good features (Stainless Steel, Sapphire Crystal face and Sellita SW200 Automatic movement). However bracelet quality appears to be someone on the lower end (except the clasp). Specifically the pins that hold the band appear to be very thin and loose, I would be somewhat hesitant to wear this while diving. I have a Longines Hydro Conquest silver (L3.671.4.76.6) and difference between bracelet and over all design is night and day. Which by the way is an amazing watch and anyone interested in getting a good diver’s watch under 2k should look into this. My friend has a Rolex Yacht Master and we have compared the two side by side and believe it or not Hydro Conquest not only resembles it closely (except the numeral dials), but the quality of design is very close to Rolex if not even the same. In fact the exhibition back on Longines has much better design than the Rolex. It also keeps excellent time and movement is great, it maybe loses 15-30 sec per month, which in my opinion for an Automatic watch is outstanding.

Anyhow back to Invicta review. Although the retail shows this watch goes for around ,200, I would have to disagree with that. If you ever hold a 00+ watch you can totally tell the difference especially if you get into 00s and more. But I guess you get what you pay for. My main problem with the watch was the crown as it was very poorly designed. In my opinion the crown is too large for the watch itself and it sticks out too much where it actually pushes against your skin giving you an irritated feeling even after an hour of wear. If you can deal with the irritation and perhaps it may not bother you as much then for the price this watch isn’t so bad and I would recommend it. However if you are looking for an everyday watch that is comfortable to wear, I would say don’t invest in this, look into other watches and maybe try them on at stores before you actually make a purchase online.

OB must stand for “other band” - E. Sessum - New Orleans (Metairie)
I have a 9937 regular style. I love it other than the little latch on the clasp has given me problems but invicta replaced it quickly.

The 9937OB that i just recieved has the cheapo band that the watch comes with. For a movement upgrade that actualy costs around after shipping to invicta it shouldnt have such a cheapo band. Sending it right back.

So for those ordering dont expect to get the 9937 band. That only comes with the 9937C (which amazingly enough is another part number for what looks to be the same as the 9937ob) But the OB has a diffrent band that i would pay an extra to avoid.

I bought this watch not long ago, and I’ve already experienced some minor problems with it. First of all, the bracelet was very cheap made, and I almost lost my watch after wearing it for 2-3 days as it broke apart. The bezel was also cheap and made crackling sounds not like the one in Rolex. The date was not changing smoothly couple of times. After a couple of tests it started changing properly again. I don’t know what caused the problem; I will be investigate this matter further.

But in general the look is good and seconds hand runs smoothly same as in Rolex. The watch is accurate but not 100%. Watch connoisseurs say one must wait 4-6 weeks before checking the accuracy. So will see in 4-5 weeks how accurate it is. Out of the box accuracy is +15-18 seconds a day, which is quite normal for the price and for the unadjusted mechanism. Right now I would rate my watch 4 out of 5 (because of the bracelet and the bezel). Worth the money!!! Recommend to buy!!!
